Salvation is Here

Here we are, kept up again
The youth dwindles along
Like prison guards we lock inside
The life that etches on

I'd say hello... But I... Well I...
I seem preoccupied
Too drowned in my existence
To catch the glimpse that i despise

Arrested in my shackles
A chain between my legs
But on I walk, this hallway
Until my youth is dead

I follow trails others pursue
I leave no memory
But age brings me one outcome
And has no sympathy

For once they heed the warning bell
Then destinies defied
And once the path is paved anew
We shall regain our lives

Once the handcuffs loosen
I'll shine the image in your eyes
Projections of your prison...
With freedom locked inside

I cannot keep these thoughts anew
And dreams destroy my prayers
I believe... I think... This emblem fades...
T'was all one big nightmare
