Do You Remember

Do you remember the day when we first kissed?
Both of us nervous and scared
Do you remember the first time you looked into my eyes
It was the first time I felt you really cared
Do you remember when you first said “I love you”?
I choked and said “ok”
Do you remember how bad I felt
cause that was all I could say?
Do you remember the way we used to talk on the phone for hours
about our past and our dreams for our future together?
Do you remember all those letters you wrote
when you promised me forever?
Do you remember the day we went to Disneyland?
You said I made it extraordinary
Do you remember how every time I’m sad
you’d tell these stupid jokes that always took me out of my misery?
Do you remember how we would fight all the time?
We always found a way to work things out
Do you remember the way you used to hold and caress me?
You said I can tell you anything, no matter what it was about
Do you remember the night we broke up?
You asked if I was ok with it and all I said was “whatever”
Do you remember how I cried the next day at school?
I never knew why I lost you forever

All those things I remember; every single memory
It makes it so hard to forget how things used to be
When I loved you, and you loved me
