A Christmas Eve

I could say I love you a thousand different ways,
I could write you a divine-inspired poem,
I could kiss you firm and warm,
I could hold you tight and close,
I could do a thousand different things,
If I only had you here with me.

Soon youll see,
With a gift in the mail,
Just how much you mean to me.
A letter simple and sweet,
"You mean the world to me."
Hidden inside a box
Shaped like a heart
With the words,
Love never stops.

Love can last the test of fate,
Love can surpass the bounds of time,
Love can leap the caverns of distance,
But for all that it can do,
I wish itd take me there to you.

I can see you smile as you recive my gift,
I can hear you speak,
"So the best things in life
Really come for free.
Oh gods such a comfort to me."
I can hear your whisper of undying love,
Delivered to me by the gods above.

Just one more day and youll be home with me,
To share a christmas eve,
Snuggled close by the fire,
You stir my desire.
You dont know how much
Ive been missing you.
