Pain and Fear

Youre so depressing,
With your constant talk of cutting,
Bleeding and death...

Why cant you be more cheerful,
Be more normal,
Like all the rest?

I know thats what youre thinking,
Its what theyve all always said.
Well....
Would you like an answer?
If I ever decided to reply,
Instead of simply turning to walk away.
Here is something somewhat similar
To what I possibly might say.

I cannot help the way I am,
Nor for one whom abuses me so
Am I ever inclined to change.
You may question my way,
But it is just that,
My way,
Not yours,
Nor anyone else's
It is mine,
And I choose it.

If you cannot understand my pain,
Then please,
Leave me to listen sadly to the rain,
Wallow in my sorrows,
Bleeding in my soul.

And until there comes a time,
When one shall understand me...
Would you like to know what I shall always do?

I will turn to walk away,
For those of ignorant minds,
Whom have not hearts to hear,
Can never understand,
And so will never fear
That they too may suffer
At the hand of someone dear,
And never come out stronger,
From all that pain and fear.
