Eyes May Shine

Will I ever see the day of light
Will these eyes ever shine this bright
They tell me how can you see, what do you see,
Do you see something that we can be

The world says to him, how can you be
Can we be free, can I be the one that will set you free
The sun is in my eyes, I will have to rise
To make this light shine on me, it’s no surprise

I’m the master of myself, I don’t respect anyone who isn’t in me, but
myself
A wise man once said to me, you are the person who is our key, but was this
wise man
Just talking to himself or was it really meant to be for me

They call me the gladiator; that’s what I’m known for, they say I’m
The Indicator that’s what I’m shown for
don’t be surprised if these eyes may shine
They relax to say that this is the end of your day
Just do me a favor and just pray
Because the next time you’ll see me
Is when your eyes will bleed me
And when the world will see me
My eyes will gleam at thee

So Place your mouth where your jaw is, place your hands
Where the desk is
And place your eyes where they can be dealt with
Because my eyes may shine, but your eyes
Have yet to only see mine
