Waking up from the same old dreams, Night after Night
Sleeping in bed, you hear your name.
Father screaming pointing the blame.
Stay by mommy, daddy will calm down.
He'll stay Piss drunk or just bum around
No one can stop him. My mom is helpless
Uses drugs as an antidepressent as she walks in horror lays
cold...faints...
Brother found tied by a rope
Mother lieing in a pool of blood to find her bag of dope.
Cries come from the 10 year old
Doing what he says always doing what shes told.
"LIEDOWN!..STAY QUIET!!"
"Daddy don't..please stop"
Neighbor overhears and calls the cops.
Sudden crazy life is stopped by a bright light.
To end the dream to start tomorrow night.
This is far from a dream. Too good to be true.
But hey I'm the kid who is telling you the truth. will you listen
please?
For this is the life I live day after day. Night after night
I could just be lucky and call it my nightmare!!
