And I think of how it should be
Having you close to me
I'd be wearing my favorite red shirt
And I would take you out when you wear that skirt
The one that I bought you at the second hand store
Before it was all such a bore
Everything had been done till it was dead
But now I remember what you said
Don't you ever leave my side
We are in it for the long ride
There is no backing out of it now
And I said that I will keep this vow

There will never be a time or place
where I am away from you
There will never be a frown on your face
believe me when I say that it's true

We'd be looking up at the stars
picking out which constellation would be ours
And you would turn to my eyes
Smiling, knowing that we said our last goodbyes
I would hold you close in my arms
Lightly touching the necklace I gave you with all the charms
As we laid on this car hood
We think this might be too good
But we're here together at last
Making everything we been through in the past
Just that much more amazing
And still my heart is still blazing
