BACK ON THE FARM AT CHRISTMAS~*

Underneath the Christmas tree,
A package laid right there for me,
My eyes grew large, filled with tears,
I could hear Santa and all his raindears,

Laying quietly within my bed,
I envisioned Saint Nick within my head,
As raindeers settled quietly on top,
Of our snow covered roof, where they had stopped,

I heard a sound as clear as could be,
Ole saint nick coming down our chimney,
With a grunt ,and a groan ,and a snicker ,and laugh,
Poor Santa landed upon our cat,

The cat cried out with the loudest "meow",
Which awakened the dog, that awakened the cow,
The "moo" from the cow woke the rooster too, But it never bothered
ole babe the sow.~*....
