Stuck On Repeat

Stare blankly at the wall
Song in the background stuck on repeat
But you’re too far gone to notice
You realize the song is much like your life
Always stuck
Never going forward nor back
Not that you’d want it to
The past is full of worries
Nightmares and depression
Your future is something
You never want to face
For you can barely survive life now
All the fights you’ve endured
And you don’t think you could take just one more hit
The yelling
Abuse
A part of your daily life
The only way you can escape
Your only way out
Is letting the song get stuck on repeat
A never ending flow
You sing the songs with words that are not your own
But your life all together
You sing your last breath
A ritual it seems in your daily life
You fall gently to the floor
And you die
Your never ending song
Your never ending life
Still stuck on repeat
