Wake Up, My Dear

Wake up to the real world
Open up those heavy eyes
Don't listen to the media
They're filling you full of lies
You see things the way you want to
Look at that "lady crossing the street"
Wake up, she's trying to pay her bills
Looking for a man in heat
You say she's a little chubby
She doesn't meet the standards of today
Go and see Michelle Kim and Tracy
The three kids that made her that way
You say she could use a little makeup
You friend giggles and shows a little grin
Wake up, she's not tired, she's drugged
Trying to numb her world of sin
So there she is in those "hideous clothes"
The ones without name brands
She's struggling to buy the week's food
While your out spending grands
But you don't understand her world
But it's not like you even care
She's a week away from being dead
And you just stop to stare
