It’s unique power, quite immense
It builds a tower of events
Controlling time, it often will
But people see it as a thrill

Addiction to this perfect tool
Eternal bliss, the largest jewel
A constant fear that it will die
Another tear, you wonder why

But you can save it, look to God
Yes, you can save it, smile and nod
The fear remains behind it all
You’ve chained yourself up to a wall

Such brilliance that will not be paused
Resilience to the pain it caused
But if you turn it off you’ll find
You are at peace without your mind
