They Say...

They say…
They say your love is never ending
Never stereotyping
They say your power guides all
And your hand steers us from wrong
I guess I'm just forgotten
Because no hand has steered me from wrong
Not this time...
My heart has guided my hand
To the knife on my sink
Lord, if you are there, if they tell true of thy glory and never ending
love
Wouldn’t you stop me?
As the knife grows closer to my wrist
My eyes shut tight
A last prayer from a worthless, forgotten girl
A last plead for intervention
None comes, I feel the pain, but it is fleeting
The red liquor of life pours from my veins
As I sit, and watch, and cry
Salty tears mix with angers blood
As I see my life flash before my eyes
Why?
Why am I in so much pain?
Why can’t I let go?
Everyone around me seems to have a perfect life
Though I’m sure its all an illusion
Leaning against my bathroom wall
All becomes black, memories fade into dreams
The pain is forgotten in deep sleep caused by tears
All is forgotten…
