Dancing through the chaos
And dark unhealthy gloom
Imps and goblins in hot pursuit
Attempting to bring my doom

Ducking into crevices
Hiding in every hole
Concealment is my desire
Escape is my goal

Hidden within the darkness
Doppelgangers await
Feigning love and friendship
Then filling me with hate

So I continue to run
Avoiding the surrounding pain
The more I run the more it hurts
Soul scars my only gain

Up ahead there glows a light
Singing a calming song
Dancing and bouncing through the air
Beckoning me along

Now I begin my own pursuit
Chasing the joyous glow
Smiling and laughing all the while
The faerie does not slow

Suddenly my faerie stops
Above my head she bobs
Her smile calms my racing heart
And quiets internal sobs

The demons gnawing at my heals
Cry and run in fear
Her light envelopes me with joy
And lets no evil near

With a kiss she lights my lips
And lost soul I am no more
Now a dancing faerie of the light
Infinitely happier than ever before
