You sit there
Thinking of your past together
Wishing that it was real
The images fill the room
Making it fill with light
Eliminating you in it
You’re side-by-side with her
You say we have made mistakes
And we need some time
So take some time to think
About what went wrong
And then we will fix
All of the problems
The images come back
Into your mind
Leaving the room dark
Like your heart
You don’t know what you have until its not there
Your world revolves around that not being there
Because that was what it revolved around before
And now that’s all if has left
You sit there wanting more and more to have it back
But you cant she belongs to another heart
Not yours
A tear runs down the pale face
Drippings on your lap
Your head lands into your hands
Tears run like the river
But tears wont fix your problems
Nothing will
You reach over and grab a towel wiping your cold face
All you want is to give up
But you cant
She’s not the only one that loves you
Other people love you
You don’t want them to feel the same way
Life goes on
Fill your emptiness with another’s love
That’s all you can do
There is no other way
