You Never Gave A Damn

Sitting here in this room, my heart beats rapidly
Since you walked through that door, I can only doubt
I thought we were destined to last but now that’s just the past
I know you tried your best, but you can’t change years of living
With one single night, you could put our love to the test
Usually we always over come the trials…
But somehow this one seems different…

The bags are by the front door
The taxi outside waits impatiently
The train is waiting for that one passenger…

Tell me, will you shed a tear for the nights spent alone?
Will you roam the hallways endlessly… restlessly?
Then when you can bear no more, whose name will fall endlessly from your
lips
Surely, it can’t be mine since you never gave a damn

Now that I found a new path to travel
I should feel overjoyed but should I follow it through?
Could this be the one time that you’ll change for good?
Or is this a repeat of all the other times your sorry ass said you could
change just for me?
Looking back over the past
How could I be so blind not to realize you would always expect me to play
the fool?

The bags are by the front door
The taxi outside waits impatiently
The train is waiting for that one passenger…

Tell me, will you shed a tear for the nights spent alone?
Will you roam the hallways endlessly… restlessly?
Then when you can bear no more, whose name will fall endlessly from your
lips
Surely, it can’t be mine since you never gave a damn
