Lonely Salvation

As i sat in desperation
the world crumbling before my eyes
great fires flickering
as i was hyponitized
staring into the unknown
dueling death for my tomorrow
fighting not in vain
little time i had to borrow
in the distance
as in a spot of light
i can see someone falling
when i gain a new sight
the feeling of air
rushing beneath me
unable and unstable
the sky is all i see
closingmy eyes
i'm slipping away
i open them again
lost in a new day
i'm all alone
saved from despair
avoided destruction
but alone, i don't care
i did not fear death
and still, i do not
but i would have gladly sold salvation
to those foolish enough to have bought
what is life
when living in desperation?
what is the worth
of a lonely salvation?
