Where I Belong

zoning off in the middle of class...
losing sense of time and space,
i close my eyes and go off into my mind...
i can hear the wind blowing, whistleing in my ear...
i see the taught horizion seperating the two different blues...
i feel the sand between my toes and the waves crashing on my body...
the sun is bright--its warm rays dance upon me like fire!
the sky is full of fluffy cotton cluods, white as pure snow on the clearest
blue the sky has ever been.
my little sister is dancing about in the foam from the crashed waves as she
looks to me to hold her where i am...she wants to be just like me...
my dad and grandpa stand guard to make sure we dont get swept away...
we head inside the hotel room to my mom and grandma and go onto the deck to
witness the most incredible sunset all 3 generations had ever seen.
i feel so happy when im there--standing, looking on where i belong...i cant
believe i have to leave it all behind again...
the bell rings signaling the class is over--calling me back to reality--i
get up and carry on with a heavy, lonely heart
