When I looked up at the sky tonight,
And saw a shining star,
I made a wish, a wish for you,
To find out where you are.

I wished to know where you are,
Because I know you are not here,
For if you were I would have felt,
The presence of you being near.

I wished that you were here,
For I wish for your love,
That’s why I wished upon the stars,
The stars from up above.

If you look up at the stars,
The ones in the sky tonight,
Look for the one filled with love,
It’s the one shining extra bright.
