My world, run the other direction
Don’t fall into my daily grind
Be better than my crippling ways
Leave me, I’ve fallen too far behind
Don’t let my idea of fun deceive you
Don’t ignore my emptiness found within
I am struggling thru this dying race
I no longer have the hope to win
I am running from myself in fear
Your mirror to myself is a painful shine
Don’t willingly fall along my side
Just leave me to this misery of mine
Save yourself from my bitter fate
I hate the daily contending grind
Leave me to my companion, misery
Run, leave me behind
