If we keep this up this up
The stars will fall out of the sky
Falling down to Earth
Snatching the lives of all but
Innocent
Funny thing is none are innocent
So all were taken on that
Horrendous night
We destroy our own home,
The sky, galaxy, trees, everything
We live in a strange world
Inhaling, Intoxicating
Hating, debating
What is wrong with this world?
The world I live in and want out of,
We ruin the homes of all before us
Out of temptation, greed
There is no more room for love
Or respect
Or thought
All around me a deep yet dazzling
Darkness,
Closing in leaving only room for
Hate
I can't see anymore
The lights been snuffed out
I'm alone and all is silent
Yet time passes me by in
Hours, Days, Years
Driven by the spheres of life itself
As though all else has seized
Yet time still passes me by
Like an intoxicating, confusing,
Silent heartbeat, times heartbeat
Completely different from my own
Like a steady drumming
Never stopping,
Ever changing,
Will the darkness ever melt away?
It's in our hands
And fly past us every day....
We try to drive out the hate
But it keeps coming back
Stronger and darker every time
Will light of time ever shine through?
Who knows?
It's no longer in our hands
It's to strong
Only God knows the future
But does he know it’s at hand?
