Finding Someone New

Today I met a stranger
Who had the deepest, darkest eyes
And when I looked into them,
He smiled, to my surprise

I really thought nothing of it--
I'd seen many strangers before
That is, until the same stranger
Seemed to follow me to the door

When I turned to look again
The stranger was still there
And if I wasn't mistaken
He had begun to stare

And suddenly then, it started to rain
As I fumbled for my keys
And this stranger, he offered his coat
And then he stole my heart with ease

The stranger caught me in a corner
And I couldn't seem to look away
His eyes held me captive there
And I noticed he'd been there all day

He drew in close to kiss me--
It seems as though I've found someone new
Oh wait, I guess I was just
Falling in love, over and over, with you.
