Please Eyes, For Not Thy Soul

Wading within my character
Hilltops scarred with thorns
Free from Hell the beauty left within
Lest another soul be born

The prairie vibrant yellow
With a touch of solemn green
Shades of violet, blue, the sunset's glow
A glaze atop the scene

Picking, choosing, lively steps
For hither not they come
Leave grounds wherein the shadows lie
Hello, chrysanthemum

Forsake for moments sunset's fall
Roses soon will shine
Alas, this side is thorn defined
Save the pricks and pokes, this time

It seems someone failed to notice
That the beauty’s underneath
Whilst the thorns caress and gouge the love
Others dare to leave

Hast thou resembled only eyes
Or can thou syncopation feel
Could thou place fingertips, amending,
What brutal eyes can't heal

Flaunting through half-empty plains
Judgment impaired, I stall
I'd leave beautiful scarlet petals
And take those with none at all
