A Raven flies among the breeze
Her babies wait nearby
She’s tired and she’s cold
Her wings barely touch the sky

She weaves her way among the clouds
The earth begins to rain
Her babies wait patiently
For their mother to come home again

Tears of Joy are far between
A sky shatters shades of blue
The raven cries as she hunts for life
She see sorrow through and through

She’s overwhelmed with confusion
As she doesn’t know where to turn
Wherever she goes she’s lost
It’s always dark and there is never enough sunlight to burn

The raven sees what’s around her
It’s what’s inside she can’t release
There’s love and light within her
But no way for it to unleash

As skies turn gray She turns to pray
But nobody answers when she calls
She spreads her wings to rise above
But for some reason, she always falls

The raven has yet one more hope
One prayer she has yet to ask
For God to grant her peace
And to lift her from this mask

To this day the raven seeks
A place to keep her warm
A place to heal and give her peace
Until her new wings are born
