Girl Behind The Glass

A girl sits next to a window
She’s looking all around
She’s sees many people
But when she opens her mouth there is no sound

She looks up at the ceiling
She sees dead flies within the cracks
People are all around her
Talking about what she lacks

A man in front of her grabs her
And gropes her making a pass
A lady is laughing hysterically
The girl stands against the glass

Another man comes up from behind her
He pushes her to the ground
People are all around her
But when she opens her mouth but there is no sound

She closes her eyes and dreams a dream
She sees angels standing by
They yell her name and run to her
They tell her not to cry

This girl is waiting franticlly
For a miracle to occur
She stands by the window
Waiting for the glass to break from around her

Of all the things that she wishes for
A voice was at the top of her list
A voice that people would listen to
And hear with their ears not with their fist

She stood by that window
With her hands against the glass
Praying for a miracle
Hoping to free herself at last
