Look outside my window// Hookers all around
A gang fight goin down// Fore an enemy touched ground
A gun is pulled// People scream and shout
A life is lost// One less person to get out

Walk outside my door// Aproached by a restless crack head
"Can I get some change"// No but you could use a bed
No time for sleep// Rather get high instead
Can't think straight// Mind pounded by a ton of led

A young kid runnin the streets// Parents don't seem to care
A child pulls a trigger// Kills a woman on a dare
The other ones run away// All alone he's left there
He cannot move// Just says a prayer

That night he lays in bed// Thinkin bout the life he took
In just one second // His life has been shook
He'll never live this down// This will always be on his heart
He'll live everyday// Knowin a family has been torn apart

A teenage girl sittin on her steps// Tears in her eyes
Wonderin why her boyfriend// Told so many lies
Now she's pregnant// And he's nowhere ta be found
Some where along the lines// They lost there solid ground

She finds herself thinkin// "What will I do"
Off to the clinic// Jus 20 minutes then she's through
This is somethin// She can never undo
Then it hits her hard// "Oh my god, what have I got into"

I too am// A victim to the streets
Livin a life// Thats never complete
Playin a game// Full of deceit
So easily give in// And except my defeat
