Why do things turn out the way that they do?
We had a destiny, me and you.
Things seem to go so fine.
Then one day, you are no longer mine.
We try to stay close.
Things turn out so ugly and gross.
I wondered why we tried.
Was it even worth our time?
Now I look back and say "no".
I look back and say "I needed to go".
I got out and found something new.
And from that, love and friendship really grew.
Just one night made a difference in my life.
Now I know things will turn out alright.
I'm so much happier than I ever thought I could be.
We are going to grow old together, you and me.
