Ring ring ring goes the violent thing
Who ever could it be
Does it speak for some importance
Does it even ring for me

Could it be my mother
Bearing better news
Oh, perhaps she's back from neverland
Freedom from abuse

Maybe its the doctor
Who loves me way too much
But this blade is quite the burden
Too heavy to get up

Ring ring ring, seems quicker now
The bells are running short
The urgency grows deeper
With feet, attached to floor

The floor boards seem to crumble
Amidst the dried up stains
And i long to hear the voices
Of long forgotten names

Ring ring ring, a sharper tone
Shrilling, to the ears
And the akward silence, inbetween
Gives time to chime my tears

The echoed sounds surround me
Piecing broken homes
As I struggle finding reasons
Not to pick up the phone

One more possibiliy
That I will live to doubt
The worst of news, in bolded print
Or a miracle's way out

One thought I couldn't live with
While changing stubborn minds
Open doors, into the hallway
Wrists leave teardrop trails behind

It's something great, I know it
A resilience to the ring
Good news, a voice, some comfort
Lord I'd take anything

Ring ring ring, for higher hopes
With hands upon the phone
"Hello, hello, is someone there?"
... In silence... Dial tone
