You don't know how hard I've tried
To bring your gaze upon me
To make my presence know
A force to be reckoned with
A foe to contend with
And yet you never see me
Your most formidable opponent
Your worst enemy
I am here
In plain view
For all to see
I am not to be overlooked
My destiny is to be heard and feared
Not to be hidden and ignored
I will try anything
For a chance
Just one chance
To take the world by the throat
And make it scream my name
For all to hear
For all to fear
For all to understand
That I am not to be looked over
I am not to be ignored
I am much greater than that
Just wait and see
If you continue to ignore me
You will pale before my might
And fall before my feet
For I am one
The shining light
I starlit sky
The firey sun
The one who calls to be heard
Yet is overlooked
By all who never see me.
