Breaking Point

I’m sick of this, about to break
Hanging on the verge of sanity
Stress ties me to these rusty tracks
Struggling so hard to break free
Fog smears my horizon
As waves crash upon the shore
Desperately looking for a lighthouse
I can’t take this anymore
A tornado of thoughts but none too clear
Can’t stop to think straight for a second
I tried to keep straight for awhile
But merciful escape beckoned
The music beat pumps louder
As my head begins to pound
I can’t take this one more minute
I collapse unto the ground
I refuse to get up until the sky regains color
I’ll stay here until that damn bird sings
I’ll sleep til that sun does shine
I’ll cry here til salvation rings
I must regain composure
It’s so hard to linger on
So hard to stay positive
When everything is so wrong
