You say what you must to keep them happy
Your promises are empty

The temptation was there
The lust was there
The only thing lacking
Was the love that should have been

Love was not enough to stop you
Love could not rule over temptation
A promise not kept
Is a promise to someone not treasured

Promises can’t be kept without love
That’s why it was so easy for you to break
The temptation and lust were always there
The only thing that wasn’t,
