There is a tug, and so I dance
A quick little pull, and I'm forced to prance

Rapid, fast little jerks, up and around I go
When shall I stop bouncing? Only she will know

Like a marrionette, my heart she has on strings
She has complete control, and makes me do strange things

Through it all I willingly submit, without a doubt or fear
But if I comment or make a noise, sometimes she does not hear

There are times I want to cry, to fall on the floor and pout
Other moments I am just mad, I want to scream and shout

I attempt to pull back my strings, and have complete control
But when making my own heart dance, I rip and tear a hole

Brutally I fall to pieces, my pain splatters the ground
A howling wind blows through, scattering me all around

Smiling she comes to my rescue, gently she picks up my strings
She puts me all back together, for her my soul does sing
