Your Affliction

Ah, you look at me in contempt
With vigilance in your glares
You smile at my failures
Laugh at my despairs

I am but a spectacle
Because I stand unique
I don’t follow your confines
My path remains oblique

You don’t like to hear honest words
That go against your views
You can’t appreciate the knack
When one paints in different hues

My dynamic spark leaves you in despite
While you envision my demise
You shoot your lame attacks
While I laugh at your surmise

You pray to see my frustration
Just one small glance of woe
You wait for me to lay dying
To take the final blow

But I won’t enkindle your affliction
To immerse in jealousy
Too busy hating yourself
And taking it out on me
