Torture

It took me several days and nights
To find the only way out
And it hurt so much I couldn't scream
I had to find a way out
So it took a while
But it meant so much
If the only way to get to you is to
Kill with my touch
And the world stopped turning
The fire quit burning
And we all were silent
The calm before the storm
The quiet before the storm
The wind before the wake
The still before the quake
The lie before the truth
The sugar to your sweet tooth
Doesn't really mean a thing
Unless you've got that crown for a king
We won't wait for you
We'll wait on you
And until the day
Has passed away
The night shall be
A silent query.
