Between two oaks
Oaks of strength and beauty
Tall and proud
Taller than even myself
At my most proud state of mind
I hear a rushing
Faint yet strong
From somewhere far off in the forest
Curiousity takes me
As my feet race me
To the place where the water falls
Where rocks are smoothed by years of sweet embrace
Covered by the water's love of all things
Living or dead
Moss as green as emeralds
Blankets the banks of the river
Formed by where the water falls
Running out into a great ocean
Where my ears pick up the sounds
Of whales calling their children home
Blowing water through the tops of their heads
Falling in drops gracefully back into the ocean
Walking and not running back to the place where the water falls
Because I know it will always remain where I remember it
I watch the cascading clear blue water
Running over the rocks and moss
And flowing out to the whales
It was at this time and place
Where I felt heaven existed
Where the water falls.
