A rain drop hits the water,
I wash my face and see,
her refection in the ripples-
I look up and she looks at me.

At her side, a silver colt,
his face, curious,
his shaggy, yet beautiful fur,
makes me love him all the more…

He comes up and smells me,
I am on my knees,
the little colt walks into my arms,
his head resting on me.

His mother comes up,
and stands quietly,
her head on my shoulder,
the joy filling me…

From another view I see,
the unicorns around me,
and tears run down my face,
and I know this is where I belong…

I want to run with them,
as free as them, as far,
as innocent and pure,

the joy filling me,
the love surrounding me…

because this is where I belong…
