Love Has Given Its Self

Love has given its self.
And to love I live and without I whither.
Therefore, without you there is no I.
In each dream I envision you,
Because love has me intoxicated
Whether asleep or awake,
Whether dreaming or not
Your love is treasured and sworn
To be kept forever.
Where in such time you and I
Lay together in eternal bliss.

And still the roots of our growing
Bouquet of dreams of happiness
Are planted with friendship.
Friendship was the beginning of us and
The beginning of love.
Afterward and still, and always
You donate power to my soul,
And allow it to love you,
For that is all it desires.
Desiring nothing more, yet nothing less,
Are your eyes to settle with
Love upon mine.

And to hold one another full of trust
And certainty granted by love.
To kiss and smile at each other until the end.
To contain within its center the love never forgotten.
And to honestly speak and laugh, and wrestle
Until energy is no longer present
Within our bodies and souls.
