So many times I've acted just fine,
Yet so many times I've cried.
I've cried for others and for myself,
'Cause so-called friends have lied.

And I''ve tried my best to fit in,
Although they don't seem to care.
I'll end up being myself in the end,
And most of them will stare.

But now it doesn't bother me that much,
'Cause I know when I turn around.
You'll be there with open arms,
To cheer me up without a sound.

So the next time that I cry all night,
I hope that you know why.
It'll be because I miss you,
And not because I wish to die.
