Oh Country, Oh World Can You Imagine?

The rock star was blown away
by the blast from the barrel of a gun,
never to be seen walking alive again.
His cause was peace,
but they didn't listen to him,
and they sold out.
They didn't want what he imagined.
The poor and the homeless
are crying in the streets;
and there are those who understand
his cause and haven't forgotten.

Freedom isn't freedom
unless it's for all the people;
and there is no true peace
without true justice.
Now they're at war again,
but his words still aren't forgotten.
We will always remember
his words of wisdom.

Oh country, oh world
can you imagine?
I hope it's not too late
to create his song into a reality.
Then he wouldn't have died in vain.
