In the silence of the night,
something new fills your hearing and sight.

The dust rises as the liquid drops
fall down onto the earth.
They raise the dry dust up,
and give a chance for new birth.

Dying plants have new life,
the dried and cracked river slowly fills-
the rain pounds onto the ground,
then stills gently as the rivers swell.

There is new life again
as once dying crops now live on
the animals seem to dance in thanks,
because the once dry earth
now lives on.

The river rushes,
a new morning has come,
the animals are out,
and the storm is done.
