Those Summer Nights Are Gone

tan lines and miniskirts
bonfire parties and one night flirts
lying on the cool grass looking up at the stars
how i miss those summer nights. . .

country music and getting tipsy
sneaking out and coming home at three
spending all night with the one that i love
i miss those summer nights. . .

all day by the pool in the hot sun
all night under the blue moon having some fun
no worries in the world, everyone's carefree
i want those summer nights back. . .

traveling out to the cabin for a few nights
enjoying our youth, getting into crazy fights
how we thought those times would never end
but now, we want them back. . .

our final party, our last goodbye
taking pictures for memory, trying not to cry
haven't seen you since then, where have you gone
i want that summer night back. . .
