i have fallen
yet again
it seems i cannot
reach the end

this journey that
ive embarked on
is harder than
the birth of dawn

the terrain on this path
is earthen and green
a rocky path
not too often seen

im walking in a forest
i dared not walk in before
im stumbling over briars
on this forest floor

ive never had to try this hard
or use my brain this much
my legs are cut and scratched and bruised
and pained at the touch

my journey is almost over
because now i see a light
i'm almost out of this forest
it's the end of this cold night

im at the end of my tunnel
the end of all this mess
the end of all the torment
the struggle and the stress

ive reached an open door
where the light is coming from
and see a sparkling shore
of all the days to come

i see a waving sea
of all of the past
the waves of history
an ancient ship's mast

this is the land of time
past present or future
the land of all we've ever known
of all our woe and torture

the land of all the evilness
and harmful things we've done
carefully hiding behind
the warmth of the sun

fire, war, and evil
ruins this beautiful land
its all because of us
the cruelty of man

we need to learn from history
and make less mistakes
we should work hard to make peace
and do all it takes

so many people harmed
so many casualties
so horrible is all this
all this reality

so let's all work together
in peaceful harmony
to make this world a better place
for both you and me
