pray on a whisper
never letting it out
trying so hard to be perfect
you almost lost yourself
holding back all that you've wanted to say
your lost and you wanted it that way
i could never see inside to the real you
i never saw the reflection in the mirror
you always hid in the pain behind your smile
you pushed it farther and farther away
to far to notice it was there
it's never really gone away
it might have faded over time but the residue still remains
bite your tounge to keep words from slipping out
close your eyes tight to keep the tears from falling
you never forgot the pain that you felt
you never left behind the memories
you couldn't let go
thinking about all you used to know
wanting to feel the way you did before
wanting to be loved
you want your life to be the way it always was
when you didn't hurt like you do now
you wanna go back but...how?
