I've sunk into a mode
remembering every moment
of my shining, painful past
see an object on a table
hear a sound
feel the knife
see the mast
above horizons
of eras long ago
make me doubt my present purpose
my future meaning even more
it hurts so badly
turning point
but I turn and look behind
at the failures that I knew would happen
somewhere deep inside
keep me from the path that threatens
my belonging to Your Heaven
down with those who only wanted
me to stay inside and hide
inside head and house we hide
from the judgments of a failing race
that bring on homicide
suicide
formaldehyde
Mother help me out of hiding
I've got to save us from our age
blink and eye and wrinkle quickly
sliding, shrinking in the cage
gain controls our futures
in these amber waves of pain
so I'll take the reigns of this Good Demon
for we'll die here anyway.
