*The Rose*

I saw a white rose
In the sun
I wanted to dance with it
Just to have some fun.

I picked it up
Saw the thorn
Then it pricked me
And the skin easily torn.

The rose shriveled
Then it turned black
Now my finger stained red
And I can't go back.

I've fallen to deep
Can this be my fate
The rose shrivels and dies
I think it's to late.
