The moonlight shimmers
Across the glassy sea
Like a billion diamonds gleaming
In all their majesty

The night is still and quiet
So peaceful and serene
The only sound that can be heard-
The waves softly rippling on the beach

The palms are softly swaying
In the gentle summer breeze
The starlight playing sweetly
Upon the opalescent leaves

The crickets are humming
Their quiescent song
As the glowing fireflies
Dance along

Fairies prance like raindrops
Upon the powdery sand
In skirts made of tulips
With shimmering wands in their hands

The fresh smell of summer
Fills the crisp night air
On that beauteous island
Somewhere out there
