My Colorful Life

The first day I met you
Well, I thought it quite funny
Your eyes were so damn blue
Your smile was a drug,
Your style was money
Your eyes were on fire
Your voice was like diamonds
What does it all mean?
To find someone that makes a crack head sigh?
My hopes were so high
I thought that the sight of you might kill me
Got the players on his team
How could I smile when all he said was "Hi"?
How could I laugh when my voice was in the clouds?
The one day when she is gone
I'll get my chance
And then I'll show you my colorful life
No more black and white
I'd like to be like you
With a rep like yours, one thick as honey
I'm not quite sure what I can do
Just know that I'm no false money
What does it all mean?
To find something that gives you reason to change
Just know I wont evaporate before you get too tired to keep running away
But What does it all mean?
To try so hard to get the right words out
Oh, I wish I could come clean
I've given my all
But I have my doubts
I'm not sure I'll be here
When you come around
That one day, when she is gone
I'll get my chance
And then I'll show you my colorful life
We'll paint over the black and white
