The Kiss

The night that we shared our first kiss,
My heart jumped with joy,
It was brimming with bliss.

I was so close to Heaven
While your strong arms held me tight.
I looked up at the sky and I swear I could
Touch the stars of the night.

Your gentle hand touched my cheek,
As you leaned in for another.
My legs began to quiver and I became so weak.

I looked profoundly into your brown eyes,
Thinking about how I didn’t want to let go.
I just wanted to keep my arms around you
And hold you until mornings light starts to glow.

The way you make me feel is inevitable.
But you and I are nothing anymore,
To you I am invisible.

I don’t know if you will ever understand ..
But my heart is yours to keep.
Just reach out and take my hand,
And don’t be afraid to get in too deep.
