Walking along the edge,
You stumble and you drop.
Falling to your death...
You begin to scream,
And you can not seem to stop.

Helplessly screaming for mercy,
Tears form and fling off your face.
You see your life flash before
Your very eyes and your heart
Is now competing in a race.

It’s in sight now and you’ve given up all hope.
Those rocks look awful painful..
Guess you’re just going to have to cope.
It’s all over for you,
You’re only feet from the ground.

You see the jagged rocks as you close your eyes.
The pain will be so intense.
You wish everyone a sweet good-bye.

Then you wake up screaming,
Safe inside your bed.
You grip the soft, white sheets,
As you realize you aren’t dead.

You seem to be floating.
“Where am I?”, you say aloud.
What a naïve person you are,
As you’re floating up to Heaven on a cloud.
