My Inbetween

Fallen out of my own skin
In a world that's not my own
Oddly dropped within this place
But I do not feel alone

Not trapped but securely twined
In this place called in between
No eyes appear to watch me
But I feel them still it seems

Searching through a fog of loss
It holds all that I've forgot
I cling to my slipping mind
For the sanity I sought

Directions here are jumbled
North and South cannot be found
The future's a huge black whole
Where the only way is down

I'm falling through this blackness
Caught between both here and there
Where fog covers everything
A blanket of unaware
