I went to the city just the other day,
To see what I might find,
And when I got there the streets were bare,
All around in kind,

I had no idea that this was a dream,
Or that You would be in it too,
I believe what I dreamt was meant to be,
I really truly do,

I looked up the streets and all around,
And not a creature was stirring,
And when I took in a great deep breath,
I saw many people then hurrying,

The city life is such a mess,
Many hurrying on their way,
I had no idea that this was a dream,
I'm glad I had awakened this day.~*....
